A FAR CRY FROM HOME.
The rehab centers in Mexico are nothing like what you would see in America. These centers are buildings with concrete walls and floors, rows of bunk beds in tight quarters in a locked-down facility surrounded by a barbed wire fence. The inmates have drug and alcohol addictions, criminal and violent behavior and come from broken families. In most cases, this is the last stop before a Mexican prison.
After they are released, 80% of inmates return to the rehab center or go to prison. We want to change this.
WE BRING HOPE WHERE HOPE IS GONE.
Most inmates feel trapped in this lifestyle and don’t know how to escape. These men and women, aged
12 – 65, are mostly forgotten people. They will stay in the rehab for 3 – 6 months, then attempt to return to the world they knew before. How many will turn their life around? The stats aren’t in their favor. 80% of inmates return again either to rehab or end up in prison.
1 Page A Day wants to turn that around in the name of Jesus!
Show Your Support
We need your help to reach as many rehab centers as possible in Mexico. To accomplish this, we rely on donor giving.
Your giving supports expenses related to travel, curriculum & teaching and ongoing inmate support after they leave the rehab centers.
Whether you provide a one-time gift or ongoing monthly support, we greatly appreciate your generosity.
